Privacy & Cookie Policy

Tekee provides IT infrastructure, access control, structured cabling and network security services across Southern Ontario — based in Oshawa and on-site from London to Kingston and north to North Bay. For any privacy question or request, email support@tekee.ca.

What you give us. When you request a quote, book a security review, enter a giveaway, chat with us or pay an invoice, we collect the details you type — typically your name, business name, email, phone number, site address and a description of what you need.

What we collect automatically. With your consent, standard analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site, and the ad or search that brought you here.

Payments. Card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted checkout. We never see or store your card number.

To prepare quotes and estimates, schedule site visits, deliver the work you hired us for, answer your questions, send service and invoice notifications, run giveaways, and measure which marketing actually works. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

Nothing that tracks you runs before you choose. On your first visit, Google Analytics and Google Ads start in Google's Consent Mode "denied" state — no cookies are written and no identifiers are stored. Microsoft Clarity is not loaded at all. If you accept, all three are enabled. If you decline, Analytics and Ads stay cookieless and Clarity never loads.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not affect your ability to request a quote or contact us.

We share only what is needed with the providers that run parts of our operation: Google (analytics and ads), Microsoft Clarity (usability analytics), Twilio (calls and text messages), Brevo (email delivery), Stripe (payments), Google Calendar (appointment scheduling), Connecteam (job dispatch to our technicians), and OpenAI (the site chat assistant). We also disclose information where the law requires it.

Quote requests and lead records are kept while we are in contact and for as long as needed for warranty, tax and record-keeping obligations. Chat transcripts are retained to follow up on your enquiry. Analytics data follows the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Data is transmitted over TLS, admin access requires multi-factor authentication, and staff accounts are limited to the information each role needs.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA, and Quebec's Law 25 where it applies) you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to marketing and analytics. Email support@tekee.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the rights granted under the GDPR.

Our services are sold to businesses and homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Any material change resets the cookie banner so you can make a fresh choice.
